Sword slash sprite animation
A wind-up, a fast strike and a recovery. The strike frames are where you put your hitbox; we keep them short so the attack feels snappy.
PNG sprite sheet + JSON frame data. Free for any project, including commercial games.

Use the Sword slash animation in your engine
The sheet is a single row (or a few rows) of equal-size frames with no padding, so every engine can slice it by frame size. Here is the minimum setup for the most common engines, already filled in with this motion's frame count, size and frame rate.
This is a one-shot motion: play it once and switch back to idle (or hold the last frame, for deaths) when it finishes.
Godot 4
# AnimatedSprite2D > SpriteFrames > "Add frames from sprite sheet"
# Horizontal: 12, Vertical: 1, select all 12 frames.
$AnimatedSprite2D.sprite_frames.set_animation_speed("attack_slash", 12)
$AnimatedSprite2D.sprite_frames.set_animation_loop("attack_slash", false)
$AnimatedSprite2D.play("attack_slash")
# Project Settings > Rendering > Textures > Default Texture Filter = Nearest Unity

Every frame of the mannequin sheet, in order. Use it as a timing reference when you draw your own frames, or to pick the frame where gameplay should react.
Questions about this motion
Can I use the mannequin sheet in a commercial game?
Yes. The mannequin sprite sheets are free to use in any project, commercial included. Credit is appreciated but not required.
How do I put my own character on this Sword slash animation?
Open the generator, describe or upload your character and pick this motion. The AI dresses your character onto the exact same timing and poses, so the result lines up with the mannequin frame for frame.
Why are my frames blurry in the engine?
Your engine is filtering the texture. Set the filter to Nearest (Godot), Point (Unity) or pixelArt: true (Phaser) so each pixel stays sharp.
