We want you to try AI Sprite Maker without worrying about getting stuck with a plan that doesn’t fit. Free credits are there so you can test before paying, and this policy covers you if a purchase still turns out to be wrong.

Credits for failed jobs (automatic)

When a job starts we reserve its maximum cost. If it fails, is blocked by moderation, or you cancel it before it produces output, the reserved credits go straight back to your balance. If it finishes using less than reserved, the difference is returned. Every reserve, charge and release is recorded in your account’s credit ledger; if a balance ever looks wrong, email us and we will trace it.

If a job technically succeeded but the result is clearly broken (for example empty frames, a sheet cut off mid-character, or an animation that does not match the motion you picked), email us the job ID and we will restore the credits. We read these by hand.

Your first subscription payment: 7 days, under 20% used

You can get a full refund of your first payment for a Starter, Pro or Studio subscription if both of these are true:

  1. you ask within 7 days of that payment, and
  2. you have used less than 20% of the plan credits that payment granted (for example, fewer than 200 of Starter’s 1,000 monthly credits).

This applies to monthly and yearly billing. For yearly plans the 20% is measured against the credits granted so far, which is one month’s allowance in the first month. When we refund, the subscription is cancelled and its remaining plan credits are removed. Daily free credits and pack credits are not affected.

The rule applies once per customer. It doesn’t apply to a later subscription after an earlier one was refunded, or to an upgrade from one paid plan to another.

Renewals

Renewal payments are not refundable, because the new period’s credits are granted the moment it starts. To stop renewals, cancel from Billing in your dashboard before the renewal date. You keep your plan and its credits until the end of the period you paid for.

If you forgot to cancel and have not used any of the renewed period’s plan credits, email us within 48 hours of the charge and we will usually refund it as a one-off courtesy.

Credit packs: 14 days, unused

One-time credit packs can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase as long as none of that pack’s credits have been used. Credits are spent in this order: daily free credits, plan credits, sign-up and promotional credits, and pack credits last. So a pack usually stays unused until your other credits run out. Pack credits that have been partly used are not refundable, and packs older than 14 days are not refundable, but pack credits never expire.

Upgrades and downgrades

Upgrading charges a prorated difference immediately; that difference is not refundable once the new plan’s extra credits have been used. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal, so there is nothing to refund.

EU and UK customers

Under EU and UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. For digital content and services that start immediately, that right ends once delivery begins with your consent, which happens when credits are added to your account. At checkout you are asked to agree to this. The refunds in this policy are offered on top of that, and they do not take away any rights you have under the law where you live.

Things we don’t refund

  • Unused daily free credits, sign-up credits or promotional credits (they were free).
  • Plan credits that expired at the end of a billing period.
  • Accounts closed for breaking the Terms of Service.

How to request a refund

Email hello@aispritemaker.com from the email address on your account. Include the date of the charge, or the invoice number from your Stripe receipt. You don’t need to give a reason, but if something didn’t work we’d like to hear what.

We reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method, including any tax that was charged, and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.

Please contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback freezes the account while Stripe investigates, and we can usually resolve things faster directly.
